It was designed by a true legend of haute horology, Gerald Genta. For those unfamiliar, Gerald Genta is perhaps the most heralded luxury watch designer of the last century. Beginning in 1970, he created some of the most high-end iconic watch designs including Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, the Patek Philippe Nautilus, certain versions of the Omega Constellation, the Bvlgari Bvlgari, and the reinvention of the IWC Ingenieur among other projects.
With its famous Royal Oak bracelet, gold bezel and accents, and gray textured dial, it is one of the seldom seen beautiful rectangular Royal Oaks. It exudes vintage elegance and class.
Powering it is its fine quartz Audemars Piguet movement. It's "Jumbo" name is a bit of a misnomer as it more a midsize watch by today's standards, well suited for someone who does not have a large wrist.
It it fully Audemars Piguet and presents as about a 9.7 out of 10.
Its case presents in gorgeous condition. The bezel and accents are polished but could be brushed for a more subtle presentation. Its bracelet also presents as mint with virtually no stretch. And its fabulous dial, likely restored, presents in gorgeous condition.
